About EPIC Leeds

Epic Leeds was formed in 2008 when 6 support groups came together using Aiming High for Disabled Children government money to increase parent carer family participation. We are now grant funded by the Dept for Education a small amount annually to cover Volunteers expenses incurred during forum work.

We aim to work with companies and organisations to improve participation and engagement from Grass Roots level up to strategic boards and Influential decision making commissioners.

We are part of a national network of Parent Carer forums working in each local authority area across the country to shape local, regional and national services including government organisations.

We work cross party, pan disability and will work with all support groups and organisations to encourage family participation at all levels to ensure that all voices are given the opportunity to be heard listened to and acted on.

We believe in empowering families to achieve the best possible outcomes and this can be achieved by sign posting, making introductions and by giving and receiving information freely.
